William the Conqueror by Orangejuicegod William the Conqueror by Orangejuicegod
A statue of William the Conqueror in Falaise (in Noramandy).
A great statue with impact, but a bit fanciful considering this is the person who conquered England and managed to put down many rebellions (including devastating the North to prevent yet another)

The statue is very nice ^^ A lot of details like that, I am sure the sculptor spent a lot of time on it...

According to the sign, he did... and he came back several years later to add six smaller statues onto the pedestal for each of the kings that followed William

Yep! How are you? :)

How strange! When you mention it, my camera doesn't fare well in one of the parks I go to... lol

Lol! My bad! That's actually a good point... clouds can be a bit evil when it comes to lighting! :)

It's like they're mocking anyone with a camera.
Take for example now. I've got a fantasic cloud formation and lighting outside of my window. But there's trees and buildings blocking most of it, making a photo not worth it :(

It happens so often (and when it doesn't, I usually don't have my camera to hand)
